"Lovely pub, beautiful rooms (we stayed in the 'Cob'). Food was lovely. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast - which was all fantastic."

"The hotel is amazing with plenty of activities to do. Even though the photos show younger people and the majority are over 50s even the entertainment is targeted to this group. The breakfast and the food is amazing and the grounds is breathtaking."

"Lovely, character-filled coaching inn. Room was clean with delightful toiletries and in-room coffee/tea options, and quiet. Bed was an utter delight. Really comfy. Included breakfast was good, and I also had a delicious dinner. Drinks could be enjoyed in the courtyard or bar. Quite lovely. The staff was great. Everyone was helpful and professional. There is no air-conditioning, but a fan was provided."

"The Bower House property is truly a gem. Clean and beautiful property at a reasonable rate. Nobody around on Monday and Tuesdays to check you in just a lock box system, but it works well."

"Welcome was lovely, room was really pretty with nice touches, pretty noisy though, you'll be lucky to get a solid nights sleep. Breakfast wasnt great either sadly. Overall though it was a lovely, pretty, welcoming hotel for a single night stay."

"Room very small with a shower in the middle of it, and unhelpful staff with a terrible attitude. Nobody around for 'breakfast' so left and found elsewhere. Would not recommend."

"Well positioned in the town. Impressive looking building, lovely vibe inside and gorgeous outdoor seating area. We were staying in room 12 which is very small. It was a hot night, so the room was baking, hence we had the window open but a gang of 12-15 pigeons live (noisily) just outside the window! The windowsill was covered in bird poo which was not nice. Shower great and nice to have an Nespresso machine and complimentary water. Bed and pillows too soft for me, but personal choice."

"We booked the Allium room. I can honestly say it’s the most beautifully decorated, comfortable bright room we have ever stayed in. Soaker tub in huge bathroom wonderful. Courtney and other staff very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast full English included. We enjoyed our stay tremendously."

"What an awesome hotel, everyone was friendly. No air conditiioning, but we survived well. Don't think that if you are from the states, you should rent a car. There are plenty of options for transportation vendors, the hotel will provide you the contacts. Beautiful part of the world."

Bed super-comfy but I am a light sleeper and the noise from the extractor fans (assume from the kitchen) was evident all night and meant not much sleep Restaurant was expensive for what was pretty ordinary food."

"The property was immaculate. Very modern farmhouse style. Super clean. The staff was so helpful and funny. The restaurant was amazing! Highly recommend. Just FYI there is no spa."
