My family and I had to find a hotel for the last night at last minute due to electrical issues in our home. I booked our room via hotel.com app as I do for all my stays. On the website it stated that a $50 deposit would be requested when I check in, no problem. Upon checking in I was informed by the hotel desk clerk that the deposit would be $100. When I asked why, when the website said another price, he continued to say it would be $100. I asked him to show me in writing exactly where it states that there is a $100 deposit. The clerk could not validate the amount as well as he informed me that it's not his problem what is on the site. Due to it being late, we gave the card information for the deposit. Upon checking out there were 2 women at the front desk, when I asked for a receipt for the night's stay that told me they could not provide me with one, which raised a flag. I then asked for a receipt for the deposit , again they informed me they could not give me one even though I paid it to them directly. I asked for a manager, I was informed one was not on duty and they handed me a business card. If it wasn't for the fact the room was non-refundable, I would have taken my family elsewhere. I would never stay at this hotel again, not matter the urgency. I would be contacting their corporate office as well.
Please BE WARE before booking this hotel, due to hidden policies that they can't provide you with and expect you to just take thier word for it.
