Great hotel except for the bed.
We enjoyed our stay at ISTY. The staff were so helpful and kind. The hotel is super cute, very trendy and fun decor. The room was clean and nice. The air conditioner kept it nice and cool. The downsides: our bed was rock hard. Like sleeping on a slab of wood with a sheet on it. The buffet breakfast was very minimal. Toast with jelly, a salad bar, instant coffee, watermelon and corn flakes. If you were lucky enough to grab one: an egg sandwich. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Parking at the facility may be limited. A good decent hotel if you are looking not looking for any frills of a hotel. The rooftop bar at night is a good relaxing space to enjoy the quiet and calm.

I would not recommend this hotel to families, we booked for 2 nights for 2 adults and 2 grandchildren, and ended up checking out within 3 hours. The hotel seems to be geered towards the young clientelle and the level of service you recieve shows, when we arrived at the hotel with 2 small children at no point did any staff member help us with getting luggage out of taxi into reception, and when checked in again no help with getting luggage to the room even though they could see us having difficulties. My wife went to the pool and took the towel from the room, a member of staff stormed over to her and rudely told her off and not to use that and to use one of the pool towels, appreciate this was our error but there was no reason to be rude and could of politely infomed us, as how would we be aware of that in advance??. The next issue was the rooms, the balconies are totally unusable and rooms are very basic. The guests they had staying there were very strange, we had several young men standing and staring at my grandaughters and wife as they used the pool, this is nothing to do with the hotel but gives an indication of clientelle. I coukd go on and on with problems we could see in our 3 hour stay, but i just dont have the energy. I feel if you are young single and on a budget this hotel would probably be great for you, however if you are a family or have a decent standard that you would expect i would not recommend booking.

Recommended design hotel - perfect for families
Nice hotel with a designer boutique vibe. Impeccably clean. Family room perfect for us. Front desk very kind and helpful. Rooftop bar is great! Pool is pretty but very close to common area, didn't see anyone swim during our 48h stay. Located about 15 mins walk from old city in a part of town that is not too touristy, more local feel..

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at how beautiful the hotel was with an open lobby. It has a great indoor/outdoor feeling. Great staff and a warm welcome. They were very helpful when we had questions or need help finding a restaurant. A down side, however, was the bed. It was quite hard by European/North American standards. For Asian standards, it was average. If you like a hard bed, you'll have no problem, but it wasn't relaxing, and I really would have liked with there were options for making it more comfortable. I asked and was thankful that the gave me and extra blanket to soften it. As for breakfast, it's pretty good with some Thai and Western options. The Thai options are the best. The coffee is not great. I really liked that there were refreshments and healthy snacks available throughout the day. I also love that they have a water refill station so you don't have to take plastic water bottles. Great! I'd love to go back, but I would consider bringing a camping mattress for myself.

Le personnel est tout simplement incroyable! Ceci fait une grosse différence quand vous ne parlez pas la langue du pays. Ils nous ont par exemple commander un Grab (équivalent du Hubert) la journée de notre départ et même préparer une petite boîte déjeuner étant donné que notre excursion pour le sanctuaire d'éléphant partait avant l'heure du petit déjeuner. L'hôtel était confortable et la piscine très appréciée après les journées chaudes. En somme un excellent choix à Chiang Mai.

Isty hotel was amazing exceeded all expectations. The hotel was well kept and staff were very helpful in booking activities ect. The property was very clean and had a great atmosphere. Highly recommend this hotel. Only negative factor is that there is not a lot to do very close to the hotel but everything is within a 10 minute walk so it wasn’t a problem.

Highly recommend Isty hotel
Great modern boutique hotel. Very stylish. Good breakfast and nice pool and rooftop bar. Pool not heated though and despite being 31degrees it was still too cold to go in properly. Location is great if you want quiet area but bit far away from the night markets, the hub of nightlife for all.

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Free bananas, coffee and water all day! Breakfast was free but not amazing. Overall loved the place. The space was trendy and a lot of young people came to stay.

Stylish hotel in modern design. Great location for exploring all the main areas of Chiang Mai. Fantastic facilities and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. The free breakfast is also excellent. Highly recommend.

Great staff and location. Cleaning staff could use a bit more training. It was not dirty but not clean either after they made the rooms. Also please do not wash the towels everyday (hanging=keep, on the floor=wash)

Great budget hotel within easy walking distance of the city center. Doors were a bit thin, and the mornings were a bit loud, but you can’t complain with a pool, free breakfast and cheap bar for the price. I’d stay there again.

Great Trendy Hotel
Another great new concept hotel in Chiang mai We booked this hotel as it is new and tight next to ITM where we studied. Great location in the heart of the local community off the tourist trail with hundreds of places around to eat. The hotel is beautifully presented and shows some true character from the majestic but simple entrance to the organically decorated and smart layout of each area with an added bonus of free water 24/7 and open breakfast buffet, not forgetting the rooftop bar, yes a great chill out area to finish off a beautiful day. Did I mention the pool, nice to relax and take a dip to refresh the mind and body. The breakfast zone is really nice which offers fresh ground coffee, fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, veggies, waffles, bread and other items that come out of the kitchen, they also freshly prepare juices and walk them around to the guests which is another added bonus. The rooms are great, clean and have everything you need including a fridge, safe big TV and plenty of spaces for bags. Great WiFi too. Recommendation Fully recommended and perfect if your studying at itm or one of the other schools including great access to the city, doi Suthep, zoo and close to places like maya mall.

Very affordable hotel. Good breakfast. Decent location. Bathrooms doors are SEE THROUGH; caution if traveling with family. Beware, they charge THB200 for every single plastic key card lost. There is limited car parking (4 spots) but we had no issues.

We really liked it!
We stayed in Isty for 3 nights during our Thailand trip. The staff is very helpful, they helped us learn the area and order taxis. The food is very good. At any time of the day you can have free coffee, drinking water bottles, orange juice, friets and some snacks. The pool area is also nice. The location of the hotel is wierd but I assume it is like this everywhere in chiang mai. You can take a 70 baht max cab to almost anywhere in chiang mai. Highly recommended!
