"Comfortable bed, in a spotless room with a beautiful view of the canal and garden. Thoughtful outdoor seating offering choice of sun or shade, and privacy. Delightful buffet breakfast of boiled eggs, cheeses, meats, cereals, fruits, breads, yoghurt and juices. A very relaxed two night stay."

"The staff (Coco, Steve, Thomas, Charles) were exceptional, and the only reason I give the hostel high marks. The property was clean, the beds comfortable, but the bad part was the kitchen with non-working fridge, no soap and paper towels- those would be nice even at an economy class hostel. "The house was furnished comfortably but the 3 bedroom was up a steep flight of stairs rather than ground level. Restaurants nearby and a few minutes walk into Volendam where there are further choices of bars and restaurants. Everything worked well with check-in on a smartphone. The app to use the key was very slow on my phone. Small pack provided with a bin liner, some washing up liquid and cloth. Very easy to catch bus to Amsterdam Central Station with couple of minutes walk to the bus stop. Create an OVpay account for the busses and other transport. Over 65's can register their age on the account for a discount."

"Comfy bed, extremely clean and minimal. The fresh orange juice is wonderful. Only a 25 minute walk to the ferry. "

"massive problem at check in as i was not informed about the access code. as i was checking in at night it created unwanted additional costs. the place is good, the room was spot on, the breakfast was good. The the area in even better. "

"The staff are not very friendly and especially to independent travellers as the hotel is geared to large groups. There are rules about only being allowed 2 sachets of coffee in the room then you have to buy more. There is a lift but only to certain areas, not all rooms are accessible by lift, which is not good as it appears that most guests are elderly. Breakfast not available to those not travelling in a group. Area out the back in the area that you go through to the car park is an accident waiting to happen with tools and cables strewn around untidily (see photo)"

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Really close to the North Station, just a couple of minutes walk. Made it really easy to get into the centre. The food court area at the main station was great, we had a little one with us and had dinner there most nights, lots of great food options. Hotel was clean, of a good standard and staff were all really friendly - would recommend and stay here again. "
