"The room was very spacious with many amenities, including complimentary drinks and snacks in the room. Perfect location steps away from the railway station and near all attractions. Nice upper level lounge for drinks and finger foods. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Property was very clean."

"Very well located, spacious and well kept. Unfortunately they put us in a room right at the entrance of their second building in our first night. Our bed was right in front of the main door, so anyone could see us and we could hear every one that was coming in + the cleaning team at 6am next morning. Also the air conditioning was not working. Next day they moved us to a far better room that I believe should better reflect their standards. Make sure you don’t get that 1st family room!"

"An excellent location off the Royal Mile. The room was spacious, and the in-room washer/dryer made our trip easier. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was a Sainsbury nearby for groceries. This room (#4) faces the back courtyard and church - we found it very light-filled yet without street noise. There is no elevator, but the steps were easy."

"We loved our stay! Our room had the most amazing view of the Edinburgh castle, I would have to say that was a highlight. We enjoyed their continental breakfast. Quality items were available. Definitely the best we’ve had. The location was also great, we walked everywhere, restaurants, and many tourist attractions steps away. The bed was very comfortable as well. The staff were also very helpful with anything we needed."

"Beautiful hotel with small but perfectly formed rooms. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the castle which was tiny but lovely. The bar area is fantastic and the Whisky Bar was our downfall (thanks to Dario who is an expert!) Will definitely return"

"An historic building, convenient to everything on the Royal Mile. Also its lower level entry is super convenient to arrival from the train station, literally across an uncrowded Market Street. Wonderful rooms with sunlight, tastefully appointed. The timely limited access will soon be fixed by a second elevator being installed in the hotel. The staff was always helpful (though the laundry lost two of my dress shirts). I enjoyed my stay immensely."

"Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was extremely quiet despite being near a large mall. The kitchenette was useful, especially for breakfast. Heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. Location was perfect-close to tourist sites and train station but a short distance away from the busier areas. Room 719 had a nice view."

"Excellent room, long walk to the room, I wouldn’t say it was great for someone with accessibility issues but the front staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great! Location could not be beat, would stay here again in a heartbeat!"
