Lieu sympa mais bruyant

Le personnel est agréable mais il n’y a pas de réception véritablement .. une personne tient une permanence le matin .. le lieu est très agréable mais aucun personnel sur place notamment le soir et la nuit .. nous avons passé deux soirées un peu gâchées par notamment une réception organisée pour des touristes , environ 30 invités .. et ce fut un moment peu agréable en terme de bruit ...pourquoi ne pas privatiser l’endroit dans ce cas ??? l’isolation est également médiocre et le bruit de l’eau incessant dans les canalisations moyen .. dommage !! le lieu, le personnel sympathique a compensé un peu notre déception ..

Worst Accomodation Experience Ever

The place is very remote, with no wifi in rooms and no data signal anywhere until you are about 500m from the property. Did not know until we arrived that there was no cleaning service or change of towels, even for a 5 night stay. There were no bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo etc) and for a 5 night stay, 2 people were provided with only 2 rolls of toilet paper, had to keep asking for more. Nothing by way of dish soap, towels or even napkins in the kitchen so you either had to buy stuff at the grocery store, only to be left behind, or let the dishes pile up. No air conditioning either, which I knew before hand but was told that opening the window would cool the place down. Well, the problem with that was that the days, even in late September, were close to 40 degrees and at night, even though it did cool down comfortably, leaving the windows open was not an option. No screens on any window and the bugs (mosquitos, flies and worse!) were everywhere! I am still so disappointed with my stay here and would never recommend to anyone.

Vi havde nogle dejlige og varme dage på La Canonica. Personalet var utrolig venlige og hjælpsomme samt engelsktalende, men vi kunne godt ha’ brugt lidt mere information i form af fx et dokument, der formidlede mulighederne i området. Lejligheden var høj standard med gennemført landlig stil.

Hidden Gem

It was a beautiful setting in the Tuscan Hills, you do need a car to reach it though. The rooms were very big and well equipped for a long weekend, would definitely use it again.

Unterkunft schwer zu finden

Wir konnten zur Anreise das Objekt schwer finden, da die Straße im Navi nicht existiert. Besser Restaurant suchen! Die frei laufenden Hunde im Objekt störten uns schon und auch deren Kot vor unserer Türe! Ansonsten zum entspannen ein schöner Ort! Auch die Küche sehr gut!

Nice setting with good pool and horse riding.

Children enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Riding lessons were fun for all from 5 years old up. Good food but limited staff so not able to have dinner on some nights. Good size rooms with self catering facilities. Noisy neighbors with dogs unfortunately scratching the floor in the apartment above. Close to Certaldo with good restaurants, supermarket and station.

Vingård Toscana

Vi havde en fin lejlighed med to soveværelser og to badeværelser, meget velegnet til en familie som os på 4. Dejlig stor swimmingpool. God køreafstand til Lucca, Senna og Firenze. Den gamle by Certaldo Alto er absolut et besøg værd, spis gerne middag deroppe. Der er ikke aircondition og i Juli er der meget varmt. Der er rigtigt mange myg både dag og aften.

Would come back again and again!

Where do I start. It was idyllic, quaint, quiet, picturesque, food to die for and nothing was too much. It is perfect if you want to get away from it all. My partner and I went for dinner one evening and we fancied some real Italian pasta and my partners favourite is Carbonara. So even though it was off the menu, they served us exactly what we wanted. It is on a winery so every night we were up until the early hours with 4 bottles of wine, waking with no hangovers due to the lack of sulphates in their wine. What more could you ask for. I would say that there was no air conditioning but don't bother us too much and they were closed on the Monday evening for dinner (we didn't know about this until we got to the restaurant, but then you could say that was partly our fault). I JUST LOVED THIS PLACE!!

Casona rural sin muchas comodidades

Llegando al hotel mi esposa tuvo una emergencia medica que me obligo a regresar a Espana para su valoracion y solo permaneci una noce de las 5 que tenia previstas y pagadas. Y han pasado 10 dias y no me han podido solucionar la solicitud de devolucion de parte del pago realizado.

Nicht empfelenswert!!

Leider Wahr dieses Hotel nicht toll ,kein Zimmerservice vorhanden es wurde auch nicht informiert,das WCpapier musste selber geholt werden ect. Das Pool war mit Putzschläuchen, Maschienen voll wir konnten nicht baden.Die Terssen waren schmutzig und der servic unfreundlich. Wir würden dieses Hotel nicht mehr besuchen!!! Pferdehaltung ist unbefriedigend sehr traurig.

Relaxing and comfortable!

We loved this place! We rented the room with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was huge. It is out in the country, but a 5 minute drive to the train station that takes you directly to Florence. My sister can't eat wheat and they provided very nice alternative for her for breakfast. The dinner we had was amazing. They have 41 beautiful horses and you can get a lesson. The staff was fantastic!

Beautiful

The facility is beautiful. The views, pool and grounds are lovely. You can get to the chianti region and many medieval towns within 1.5 hours. The train to Sienna and Florence is only 10 min away. But, you must have car to get anywhere. And, the taxis overcharge. So, take my recommendation and rent a car in Certaldo (the nearest town).

Great farm stay

Double booked on arrival did not make for the most welcoming start to the trip. 2 v tired and hot children and lots of huffing and puffing from owner. Eventually shown to a room (which was not 2 bathroom as we booked) very nice furnishings, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, v clean. Breakfast adequate and a welcome inclusion, pools v nice. Horses looked v well cared for and restaurant looked great too (we did not use) Great farm stay.

Muy buena elección

Perfecto para unos días de retiro. Hay mucho sitios parecidos, lo especialmente único en éste es la posibilidad de montar a caballo, incluso clases para que los niños aprendan. Las clases son de verdad, Mía (la profesora) tiene muy buena mano con los niños y les enseña a montar y a controlar los caballos.

Fantastic location for sightseeing round Tuscany

My review for La Canonica is a little mixed. Location in the Tuscan hills just outside Certaldo is perfect for a centre based holiday in Tuscany as most major sights are less than an hours drive away and the grounds were beautiful including the horses. We stayed for 2 weeks (family with 2 young children) so we would sight see 1 day and relax by the pool the next (1 large pool and a shallow 1 for the little ones which was great). One thing I didn't see on any previous reviews and people should plan accordingly is that on Sundays all the locals come and literally take over the pool area so don't expect a quiet relaxing time. The best food we had on holiday was at the on-site restaurant with great personal service. The 1st week we stayed in a 2 bed/1 bath apartment, but the living space was cramped, so we changed to a 2 bed/2 bath. The beds were really comfortable. I think it's because of the horses, but the number of flies around was incredible and it was a fight between trying to keep the apartment cool and minimising the number of flies getting in. Our only major complaint about this holiday is that for 4 days the majority of the apartments were occupied by young British adults who had come out to Tuscany to celebrate someones 21st (need I say more) and so we had 4 nights of very broken sleep as the acoustics of buildings meant you could here everything. Management didn't control this. They should either have made it exclusive to them or let other potential guests aware.

Verde, tranquillità e tanti cavalli!

Abbiamo trascorso un week end presso questo agruturismo, immerso nel verde delle colline toscane. Meta perfetta per gli amanti del buon cibo e della natura, in particolare modo dei cavalli, data la presenza di un allevamento di quarter horses, che si può visitare tranquillamente durante la giornata. Il ristorante, offre un ottimo menù, con numerosi piatti tipici, ad un prezzo veramente onesto. Le camere sono tranquille e ben arredate. Impagabile la tranquillità e il risveglio con affaccio sulla campagna circostante. Consigliatissimo!
