"All of the staff at Hotel Mondego - from the front desk, to the kitchen, to the room service and the rooftop bar — were exceptional. They truly made us feel welcomed and attended too throughout our stay! The accommodations were clean, spacious, and comfortable and the hotel was in perfect walking distance of all there is to see in Coimbra. 100% would stay again. "

"This is a large and luxurious hotel that's a great base for exploring the area. The rooms are comfortable and huge, the staff helpful and competent, the facilities (pool, pool table, etc.) really nice (the indoor pool is quite something, though we didn't need it in the summer). Breakfast delicious in the Portuguese manner---we never tried the restaurant for dinner but it looked fine. The Templar castle/monastery is well worth a visit in itself, and Tomar has some nice restaurants. And Coimbra, Nazare, and the monasteries at Batalha and Alcobaca are all within about an hour's drive."

"Great hotel across the street from the beach. Everything is w/in walking distance. Beach was great Only drawback is the room is loud at nite. You can hear people yelling and laughing from the Main Street. Didn’t quiet down till 1 AM. Garbage truck came at 4:30 🙄 "
