"Everything was good room was clean newly renovated it looked like we were very happy with our stay everybody was very helpful and asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay more comfortable thank you Hampton inn"

"This hotel is in a decent location, tucked away and quiet but near stores. And we appreciated the free breakfast. But that's it for positives. The beds weren't very comfortable, overall it wasn't very clean, and the hotel was completely inflexible about charging us for two days even though we had to change our plans and only stayed one day. So we paid extra for a pretty dumpy hotel. A helpful and flexible management would have gone a long way toward us overlooking imperfections."

"We have stayed here on multiple occasions, and overall we would recommend the INN ON THE RIVER to anyone wishing to explore and experience the Woodstock/Queche Vermont area. The atmosphere and decor of the inn is topnotch. There is some maintenance/upkeep work to be done on the inn's exterior wooden structures, especially at the back of the inn facing the river (re:sanding and re-staining). "AVOID THIS DUMP! If you're looking for an old fashion, charming, and quaint place to stay, this is not it! Instead, this place is old, dilapidated, poorly maintained and in need of major updates, if that is even possible. It's an old wooden fire trap. Despite the pictures, this is not "Bob Newhart's Vermont Inn." Instead, this place is run down. No elevator, unless you can locate a staff member to operate it, so enjoy the walk to the 4th floor.
