"I had been traveling for 20 hours, heading home after a long trip, when I got stuck in a snowstorm. I was just an hour and a half from home, but the roads were treacherous. "This was a great hotel. I went for a three day weekend. It doesn't have a pool or a gym but other than that, it was a superb place to stay. The rooms were clean with kitchenettes (but no items to cook with so bring your own.) They are pet friendly and have a dog walk around the property. They offer coffee and tea throughout the day which was so nice after a day of being out in the cold. The staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place and I plan on staying here again. "

"As far as motels go, this was the best I ever stayed at! Our room was spotless, cleaning came in each day after 10 (which was fine because we were skiing). Free breakfast was good (the Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwiches were clutch) The staff was great, my kids loved the pool, and there was a delicious restaurant practically on site (The public house get the schnitzel you won't be disappointed) - A 7 min drive to Ski Quechee, 15 -20 min to NH- I can't say enough good things. "

"We had an unplanned stop at the Fireside because of a winter storm made for dangerous travel. We felt like we walked into a Hallmark movie. There was a cozy fire going and complimentary hot beverages. The rooms were average but everything else was great. Nice bar for stranded travelers to meet up at and great breakfast in a nicely decorated room."

"The Jackson was a great place to stay when visiting the Woodstock area. The room and spa tub were clean and quiet. Stacy (innkeeper) was lovely and responded in a timely manner to texts. Yes, things are done by text and you get a code to your room but she was around and still provided wine/cheese in the early evening. Breakfast was awesome! Going back for sure."
