Top Central Region Hotel Reviews

Diplomat Hotel

8/10 Good

"Location of this hotel was great. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We received a welcome drink each, which was a glass of prosecco, a complimentary bottle of water, bottle of wine, snacks, bathrobe and slippers! The quality of the buffet breakfast was great and again, the staff were very attentive and all work very hard. The cafe/bar is very good value. The room (seaview) was a good size and clean enough. We also had a mini fridge in our room which was much appreciated for storong bottles of water etc. I would say the hotel is a bit dated. The air conditioning is SO noisy but better than no air conditioning and the sound proofing throughout is not great at all. We did find the beds to be comfortable, although my husband (6feet) found the bed to be too short. I found when we arrived there was a musty/blocked drain smell which affected my sinuses but this cleared after the first day. The bathroom was fairly modern but the furniture in the room is heavy, noisy and dated. I would stay here again as the pros outweighed the cons and overall we did enjoy our stay, but I also sleep with ear plugs in which I'd recommend for anyone staying here."

Strand Suites By Neu Collective

8/10 Good

"Room was clean and quite spacious. There is another hotel with the same name on the Main Street which made this a little confusing, however this hotel was still close to that property. Good location if you’re planning to use the bus or Sliema ferry. The pool advertised is actually a beach/day club you get free access to and is across the street."

1926 Le Soleil Hotel & SPA

10/10 Excellent

"Really spacious and clean room with a balcony. The breakfast was always a big selection. Location is perfect for Sliema, just a 3 minute walk to the ferry to Valletta. Rooftop pool was perfect and they limit the number of guests so it is peaceful. Comfy bed. Wouldn't recommend paying for the premium mini bar- not good value and the wines and prosecco were not nice and ended up being poured away!"

Azur Hotel by ST Hotels

10/10 Excellent

"The room was clean and comfortable and was serviced every day. The staff were courteous and friendly and helpful in all enquiries, resolving all issues to satisfaction. Breakfast was varied and very good though it is quite busy. The balcony was very welcome as it was still very warm in October. All is all, a very pleasant stay and will probably return again as teh amenities around the hotel are excellent"
