"The hotel service was TOP notch. Spotless rooms/hotel. We were upgraded without asking to a room w/a view. Rooms facing interior are very dark; would’ve not liked at all. Bar/restaurant on13th floor stunning. The area around is not quaint & very congested/urban feeling, but within 5 minutes walk one is at Opera house & Munch museum, & in 20 at the Palace or Aker Brygge, or other gorgeous areas. It’s very central to every area. If you’re arriving at central station, it’s literally across the street. Can be loud at night from nightlife. But didn’t bother us. I preferred the more quaint areas around Sentrum, but the hotel Itself was lovely. "

"The property was so perfectly located. You can walk to many attractions and shopping on Karl Johan Gate. The hotel itself is lovely, clean, with a very friendly staff. The included breakfast was wonderful. The selection was much more than I ever expected. Truly delicious! I would definitely stay at The Karl Johan again. "
