We really enjoyed our stay at Thon Hotel Opera. It’s right next to Oslo Central Station, which makes arriving and leaving so easy, yet being close to the station never bothered us. The city center and main attractions are all within easy walking distance. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding—probably the best hotel breakfast we’ve had, and we travel a lot. Everything was excellent.

Very clean modern well appointed hotel right next to the central train station, very convenient. Breakfast options are extensive, do note the dining hall peak times to avoid to get a seat. Detractors, room TVs do not support casting so use of streaming applications like Netflix is not possible.

Breakfast was amazing. Hotel is in a great location. Staff were friendly and the hotel is very clean. Room was a bit too warm for me. Our only complaint was the noise from a function below our room (Oktoberfest apparently) which went on until midnight. Mentioned it at check out but the staff member couldn’t have cared less. Pity because it’s put us off staying there again or recommending it to others.

Hotel is next door to the Central Train Station and within easy walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, coffee shops & pubs. Taxis are always available because of the train station, if needed. No telephone in the room so for anything you might need to ask for or have information about you will have to go to the front desk. FABULOUS breakfast included with our stay.
