"Great breakfast Gym was good - better than expected Problem was the room they gave us clearly had a bad mess before us. Totally smelled of cleaner plus whatever they tried to clean up. All night. This room should not have been available to guests."

"The person at the front desk was very helpful, and parking was readily available, which made check-in convenient. However, there were a few issues that could be improved. The staircase had some garbage, the bedsheets had noticeable stains, there was no complimentary water bottle in the room, and no soap was provided in the washroom. These details felt a bit unprofessional. That said, the room was decent overall and served its basic purpose well for a short stay."

"I read the reviews and was worried it would be an absolute dump. The hotel itself is crumbling, dusty, moldy, with a few unsavoury guests. The staff were nice but I saw some interactions that were rude. The room was okay. Sheets were clean. Towels were clean. Just don’t look at the furniture or the walls as they were falling apart. It’s overall worth it for the cheap cost, I would stay there again if I was looking for a budget place to stay"

"I stayed in room 102. I’ve never seen a rug so dirty in my life the bedding was clean, but the whole place needs a work over the shower system the toilet system. The flooring needs totally redone. It’s a dive and if that rug could talk. It’s got 40 years of talking. It’s time to change the flooring."

"Well appointed and very clean room! Situated very conveniently just off the highway and adjacent to a main thoroughfare, it was easily accessible from different directions. The Sandman is a well kept property, nicely decorated and conveniently, has both a Denny’s and Chop restaurant right outside the doors. Definitely would stay at the property again in the future!"

"Nice and spacious rooms, can easily accommodate a family of 6. My wife and I each grabbed a bed and we noticed the couch beside us was a pull out. I slept for 8.5 hours. I usually get 6 on average. Bathroom was also nice and big. Only reason I didn't go five star on this review is the hotel is under renos, which is good that it is being kept up to date, but would like to see what its like after they're done.Continental breakfast was nice. Very friendly staff."
