"The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again."

"We had a wonderful time at the resort. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful. The amenities at Club Rio are great too. We repeated some of the activities because of how much fun we had. The only thing they could improve is the food. Food is not great at the hotel and it’s expensive."

"It is a bit off the beaten path, but worth it. It is in the jungle away from other touriats. We were able to get transportation essily to all the nearby activities. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good and a number of choices. The restaurant had delicious food available for supper."

"Parking was pretty tight, so if you are using a larger vehicle make sure to let them know so you can work with your down stairs neighbor. There isn’t really anything in walking distance but there is tons near by if you are driving ! The property owner was extremely kind and had great suggestions for activities for our stay. "The property manager was very warm, helpful, and responsible. The breakfast was delicious, and we could choose from different breakfast sets. The location was convenient. The room and towels were very clean, and the room was cleaned every day. The shower was comfortable, and I especially loved the nice scent of the towels! "Incredible property. Exactly as pictured. If you’ve ever been on a 5 star African safari this is the Costa Rican equivalent. Only disappointment was our room didn’t have a volcano view as pictured but the room was incredible nonetheless and the main dining and pool area had a great view of the volcano. "

We loved the kitchenette, used the spa every night and I loved the big SOFT fluffy throw blanket. And the indoor/ outdoor shower was amazing. We were sad to leave. "It was an interesting stay. The free breakfast is not what we expected and seems like they stretch it with adding water to the yogurt. The beds were very uncomfortable and our sheets were dirty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful. I do not recommend this as a place to stay longer than 3 days. It was just ok in my experience."
