Hotels near Catawba Cultural Center

"No elevator work the entire (4) day stay..,placed on Six floor had to carry my own luggage up and down the steps I’m almost (66). Lock out my room (3) times the card to enter is bad. No one called to explain about the broke elevator nor offer to pay the money I paid back…nor was there an action plan in place to offer an another hotel. It’s was just terrible elderly people treated like this. I e were told the elevators were down since last Wednesday."

"Good things first. The room was clean and spacious. I was alone, but a family would be comfortable there. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic. I requested lake view and could technically see the lake from my door. Not so good things. The road down to the property is horrific. I have an SUV, and I was still worried about damage to my vehicle. The toilet didn't work in my unit. I had to plunge every time just to get it to flush. I wish the door to the unit would have had a screen. The pictures on the site are somewhat deceptive, because they don't give an accurate portrayal of the room you are booking. I chose my cabin because the pictures showed a bed, close to the glass door, with 2 chairs on a small deck, with the lake in front. Turns out they use this pic on all their cabin options, but it wasn't at all what I booked. The area around the resort is nice. Very close to restaurants and convenient stores. The people in the Carolinas are so friendly. I hope to visit again some day, but would not stay here. It was ok."

"My mother and I stayed at this hotel back in 2015 and we loved it. Nearly 10 yrs. later, I came back to stay because Bruno Mars was in Charlotte for a concert. For some reason, we I checked in, there wern't any keys for the room I ordered and I had to wait 30 min. I have to admit, that was strange, and it caused me to be late arriving to the concert. However, the staff was nice about it, and they even put me in an upgraded room with no extra charge, since I couldn't get into the king sized one. So, that thing aside, I still recommend this hotel whenever you're in the beautiful city of Charlotte!"
