"The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the river and staff extremely welcoming and helpful The room was clean and bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good and worth doing. Majority of the places that we were visiting were not walkable so used Uber all the time and prices were very competitive. "Lovely room with a balcony overlooking the marina. You're looking through the castle's crenelations, because you are in an old fort. Bathroom lighting is a bit much, but it's clean. The location could not be better. The staff were universally competent and friendly, eager to please. "This was, by far, one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. The walkway was ancient, rundown, and felt downright unsafe. The rooms? Beyond outdated—borderline uninhabitable. To make matters worse, the lift was old, creaky, and felt incredibly unsafe. How this hotel ever received a rating of 8.0 is beyond comprehension. It’s shocking and unacceptable that Hotel.com would allow such a misleading rating to stand. I trusted your platform to guide me toward quality stays, but this was a complete disaster. You seriously let me down this time. Immediate action is needed—both for your customers and your credibility. I’m reconsidering ever using Hotel.com again after this debacle"
