"Circa 1905 is centrally located in the De L’eixample neighborhood and only steps away from Gaudi’s La Pedrera. The BnB is tastefully appointed - understated and comfortable - in keeping with its location in central Barcelona. Friends of ours stayed here a few years ago and give Circa 1905 rave reviews. "Check-in was a breeze. We arrived about 10am from a 15 night cruise. Although we couldn’t get into our rooms right away, they did store the luggage for us. This allowed us to leisurely shop/window shop/grab a bite to eat. They called within 2-3 hours to let us know our rooms were ready. Excellent location. Spacious rooms. "Very much enjoyed our stay. 4 star rating, there was a couple of disappointments. No bellman upon arrival so we had to struggle with our luggage. We couldn’t get into our room until 6 pm so we had a round or two of drinks in the rooftop restaurant. Hotel comp us one round which was appreciated. Rooms are beautiful. "Our stay started out with very helpful bellman and front counter/ concierge person. Once we got to the jr suite room things started to decline. The room and the hotel's corridors were very dark. The suite had no walls dividing the bathroom from the rest of the suite but did have a very small toilet room.The entire suite was on a master control so when we turned off the electric at night it was very dark and hard to see to move around. The shower was very slippery with no grab bars as the floor...

The rooms were spacious, and the inclusion of a washing machine was greatly appreciated. The beds were comfortable and the shower water pressure was great.
