The town and main road can be overwhelmingly loud and busy at times, so it was great to have a little oasis of calm just outside the main centre. "We stayed 3 nights. We liked that it was directly in front of beach. Nice free breakfast. Salt water pool was so nice. The staff were great. They always checked in to ensure guests were happy and had what they needed. My bad for not thinking that it is in the jungle. We saw a snake at the pool (little and not a threat), resident howler monkeys woke us at 5 am every morning (again part of nature) and sloths!! Dining options around hotel are limited however you can take a tuktuk into puerto...

"Hotel is located in a calm neighborhood few min from the ocean. My room was very cleaned and comfortable. Daily service was great and overall very satisfying. Breakfast was good, and the service wasmostly consistent. I highly recommend staying here. "

"The place was more run down than expected and felt closer to a motel than a hotel stay. One major issue was the bathroom setup — there was no shower curtain separating the shower from the toilet, so water got all over the toilet and floor every time the shower was used. The staff was very nice, and Scott was especially responsive, offered helpful suggestions, and did his best to accommodate our needs, which was appreciated.
