Wir hatten an unserem Checkouttag mit Überschwemmungen im Hotel zu kämpfen wodurch wir vor dem Zimmer einen kleinen Fluss hatten. Wir baten die Mitarbeiter zumindest beim Transport der Koffer um Hilfe damit diese nicht komplett durchnässt in die letzte Urlaubswoche gehen. "Excellent staff and the property is reminiscent of a resort more so than a hotel/stay. Access to beach is extremely easy, attached to the backside of the property, though the beachfront is not 'developed' or 'set up' so do not expect a resort-like sun-chair set up. Excellent location if you want to be away from the hustle bustle of puerto viejo, but still biking distance to get to all the shops and cafes. Fabiano at the front desk, and Rosita for breakfast service, were both absolute delights...
"We spend fabulous 4 nights here. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was clean, spacious and luxurious (we stayed the Florentina Villa). You can easily stay a day just in your room and observe the wildlife. Totally worth it - besides the private pool and the very comfortable swing. The food in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was the best we had in Tortuguero and the best we had in hotel restaurants in Costa Rica.
I would highly recommend a stay here :)."
"Having read a lot of reviews, we expected Pachira Lodge to be a bit tired and for the food to be limited, but we were still disappointed, considering what we had paid for our stay.
The setting in the jungle is great and we saw sloths and monkeys from the pleasant pool area.
We were unfortunately not made to feel very welcome on arrival - no-one met us off the boat and we struggled to find reception to check in.
While clean, the rooms were small and dark with nowhere nice to sit outside....
