This was a beautiful resort. Some parts were a bit weathered which is to be expected with a beach resort but they work hard to maintain the property. We enjoyed the pool overlooking the beach and the pool and beach service. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the couples massage. It was a great way to start off our trip.

Best thing was the staff. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Attentive, helpful and flexible. Because of them, i look forward to going back. Beach Pool could use better cleanup. There were old plastic cups and dead insects in the drainage. But that is an exception to a well maintained property.

The property is clean. The place is in a very remote area of Costa Rica this place is one of the nicest place in the area. The rooms are nice and clean, and the AC is very nice.

Great villa with a few caveats. First the space and location are great and the staff very helpful and attentive. The not so nice is that little jobo fruits fall on the roof all day and all night, it’s loud and tedious. The path to the beach is so so and the property could use some maintenance. The gate gave us trouble and the dishwasher. Overall great for families, just know you’ll be listening to thunk sounds at night very loud

Beautiful and calm place surrounded by nature. However, some areas need a little more maintenance, such as the toilets near the pool area by the beach. Breakfast is ok but could offer more variety given the price paid. There are no restrooms available near the main pool, the only restroom is in the lobby. There are no phones in the rooms and if you need to communicate with the hotel staff you have to go to the lobby or use whatsapp which has a very slow response.

We had an issue our first night due to a noisy air conditioner, however once Diego , the manager was made aware of the problems he helped make our stay more enjoyable. He upgraded us to an ocean front villa which was quiet and private and sent over a bottle of wine. He was constantly checking on us to assure we were doing well. We appreciate his efforts very much and his attention to detail. Very nice beach restaurant with several sloths we enjoyed watching as we ate as well as other wildlife on property like agoutis. Quiet beach.

The beach access was incredible. The staff were extremely accommodating. The common areas were beautiful. The overall vibe was not for me. It lacked a connection with the surroundings. It is probably well suited for most travelers looking for a nice beach vacation. I wanted something more tranquil. My biggest disappointment was the food. The restaurant food was just ok. I ended up going to other places in town for most of my meals. There are three pools that are all clean and refreshing. The receptionist let me in on a tip that one of them was much quieter than the others and she was spot on. I spent a few hours there pleasantly undisturbed. The highlight for me was the sloth who was hanging out on the property, the howler monkey who let us know he was nearby every evening and morning, and other wildlife that I saw while exploring the property. Overall I still feel it is an above average hotel and I would stay there again if I return to explore Cahuita national park more.

The staff was excellent. Diego was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for excursions and restaurants. He went above and beyond and is an asset to Le Cameleon. David was also very friendly and full of good advice. Also Brady and Cindy. The gardens all around were beautiful. The restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend Le Cameleon if you’re heading to Puerto Viejo.

This hotel is stunning! The pool and restaurant area has an awesome view of the beach and ocean. It has several pools that allow for different crowds. I went with my wife and twin boys and shared a 2 queen room. Even though the beds are small (not queen for sure), all other details were positive.
