Cwmbran station. View northward, towards Pontypool Road, Abergavenny, Hereford etc.: ex-GWR Newport - Hereford - Shrewsbury main line. This is a new station, opened 12/5/86, on the main line, replacing earlier Cwmbran station on the Blaenavon branch closed 30/4/62.

Holy Trinity Church, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran. Located in the SW corner of a large churchyard, The Church in Wales church is set back about 150 metres from Mount Pleasant Road. Built in 1860, the church was Grade II listed in 2000.
