"Aquila was one of the best vacations I have had to date. The tour guides are amazing. 10/10 experience."

"Large wine estate with expansive views of vineyards, mountains, and gardens. Ibis around the lake on the property. Very spacious and well appointed rooms. Breakfast was excellent - large continental buffet with a wide variety of egg dishes ordered from the menu. Service at the resort was excellent."

"Great location, friendly staff"

"Just perfect… make sure you set a side some time on the farm"

"Comfortable, new and modern property with great location and lots to do. "

"Highly recommend this property. Brand new, friendly owner and beautiful views from the room. We enjoyed everything ❤️"

"Location and service perfect. "

"Lovely place, wonderful staff and gorgeous rooms in a very walkable and charming part of Swellendam. Bonus points for great running routes on the nearby mountain. Breakfast was extraordinary and in itself worth the trip. Would love to come back. "

"The setting of the hotel is lovely with great views in every direction. The property is more homely than high quality and although the people serving were lovely, it lacked the quality and finesse that we have seen elsewhere in SA eg Lanzerac and Raddisson Cape Town. The service at dinner was warm and welcoming but the foot was ordinary. The rare steak I ordered was medium to well done. I’d suggest the property is due for a refurbishment as in places our room looked tired. Location 5 stars;...

"Breakfast menu was excellent "

"The views are spectacular from all areas on the property"

"Most supportive, genuine staff! Excellent place, if we were staying longer would have explored the spa. Super short walk to see the water. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order. Great towels and pillows. Bed was very firm, but more than I prefer. The place was pristine, very impressive. Staff got us booked on a whale watching boat ride the night before, allowed us to store luggage before we departed."

"Lovely staff, great pool. "

"Very friendly and helpful staff in an excellent location, minor points a second chair in the room would be useful and the sink is quite small. But overall enjoyable and Peter and Storm are lovely."
