"¡Una joya de lugar, superó por completo nuestras expectativas! Nuestra estadía en Casa Roland estuvo súper de principio a fin. Para empezar, la habitación es un éxito rotundo: sumamente espaciosa, con una limpieza impecable y un ambiente muy agradable. Cuenta con un gran baño, refrigeradora y las camas están una delicia; nos tocó una habitación con dos camas Queen separadas y cada una viene con 4 almohadas excelentes, lo cual garantizó un descanso increíble. Además, el aire acondicionado funciona a la perfección, enfría rapidísimo y es súper silencioso. La gastronomía también destaca; como hicimos la reserva por medio de Expedia nos dieron un descuento para la cena, que dicho sea de paso estuvo deliciosa, y el desayuno de la mañana estuvo riquísimo, muy fresco y bien preparado. Por otra parte, el personal del hotel merece una mención de honor; todo el staff es extraordinariamente amable, educado y servicial. Tuvimos un inconveniente porque el cargador de carro eléctrico del hotel estaba dañado, pero se pusieron la camiseta por nosotros y muy amablemente nos salvaron prestándonos un toma de 220V, lo cual fue una gran salvada viniendo en ruta desde Cartago. No encontramos ningún punto negativo, todo estuvo de diez. Sin duda es un lugar altamente recomendado al que definitivamente volveremos en nuestro próximo viaje. ¡Muchas gracias por la gran hospitalidad!"

"The property is beautiful, surrounded by nature. There are monkeys and macaws and other animals every day on the property. There are a bunch of activities nearby as well. I went with my kids and they loved it."

"Our stay at Cielo Lodge was absolutely unforgettable and exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their warmth, attentiveness, and willingness to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made the experience extra special. The food was another highlight of our trip — every meal was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The local ingredients and creative dishes gave us a true taste of Costa Rica, and dining with such breathtaking surroundings made it even more memorable. Cielo Lodge offers an amazing variety of activities, making it easy to experience the beauty and adventure of Costa Rica. Whether exploring nature, enjoying guided excursions, or simply relaxing and taking in the scenery, there was always something wonderful to do. The grounds themselves are absolutely gorgeous — lush, peaceful, and immaculately maintained. What truly amazed us was the incredible wildlife surrounding the lodge. We saw colorful birds, monkeys, and so many beautiful animals right in their natural habitat. It felt like being immersed in a tropical paradise. If you are looking for a place that combines luxury, adventure, incredible food, outstanding service, and the superb wildlife of Costa Rica, Cielo Lodge is truly a hidden gem. We cannot wait to return."

"The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The pool was great with the sunset ocean view. Very nice small bar next to the pool. My overall stay was good. The only thing I notice is the everything is a little dated. Maybe in the future with a little love the hotel will be fabulous."

"The lodge is wonderful, serving staff are top rank . Its spotlessly clean and stylish, the food is of a high standard and portions very generous. Good coffee available also . The lodge is surrounded by rainforest teeming with life ....birds / lizards/ monkeys/ frogs/ spiders. I have a particular interest in phoneutria sp ....wandering spiders and saw many at night ....such impressive spiders....and shy and calm........wanted to see them for many years, and danta made a reality. Its definitely worth booking a night walk with juan...he is very knowledgeable about the local wildlife .....and the taxi service danta lays on is excellent and a lovely lady who greets you . My only thought is that a swimming pool would have been the icing on the cake .....and i would of given it 5 stars ......as it stands this lodge still gets a sllid 4.5 stars . "
