Sorry we didnt actually meet.......The girls do such an excellent job of running Iffin Farmhouse they dont even need me here! They have been here so many years they are family.

Delighted to meet you both. You will have to come back in the summer and enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace and perhaps experience one of David's BBQs!

In the winter it is certainly challenging to keep all the mud and snow (and at times the animals) outside but as you say Farm is in the name. We do however aim to keep the rooms cozy

The little cottage is the Orchard Pickers' Cottage from the days the pickers came down from London to harvest the crop. In the great storm of 1987 most of the cottage was destroyed and we were left with a small footprint. Unfortunately, the local planners did not allow us to restore the cottage to its originanl size so we were limited to what we could do (hence a very little shower room)...

Sorry the lights weren't working in the evening. We have been having issues with them recently and hopefully our electrician has solved the problem. Like all homes sometimes these things are not as straightforward as they may first appear.

Walking into Canterbury is very pleasant on a sunny day and can be recommended (as can one of Kev's taxis on the way back - as its all uphill)

I really enjoy "doing up" our rooms. Each one has such a different character based on its orientation and shape. There are so many beautiful fabrics and colours to choose from I have to steal myself away from a total redecoration each year.

As you experienced Iffin Farmhouse is ideal for catching either an early boat/train to the continent or the last one from France leaving you refreshed for the next part of your journey.

Yes, Iffin Farmhouse isnt the place to stay if you don't like animals! Ours are such an importanat part of the family. It is lovely to share them with our guests

Iffin Farmhouse is the best of both worlds - 2 miles from the bustle of Canterbury yet in the quiet countryside

All the ingredients for our meals are locally sourced. We find it makes such a difference to the taste.

We all love working the breakfast shift as there are so many alternatives we offer. (we often have a guess as to what our guests will select).
