Aboslutely terrible place. Supposed to be "self catering", with only a broken frying pan, no forks and no teaspoons, dirty crockery and damaged cups. The shower contained mold with tepid water. Laminate floor was damaged in in every section, paint flaking off the walls. Metal stand on lamps and tables were rusty!! What a dump, I have never stayed in a place as disgusting or depressing as this. The only advice i would give anyone is "AVOID AT ALL COSTS"

Very poor apartment - avoid!!!
The apartment I stayed in was really poor, basic and indicative of a homeless shelter. I received the wrong room checkin info and there was no key in the lock box causing inconvenience and having to get in touch to raise this issue after a long day at work. The apartment and internal stairwell is in a serious need of a makeover including unhygienic blown worktops from water from the sink and mould in the shower. I had purchased food to cook but there was no cooking pots and pans so was unable to - it took 2 days for them to arrive! Also no live TV due to faulty aerial and remote didn’t work. Maybe I got unlucky with number 7 but I would avoid this place at all costs!

Adequate stay
I didn’t feel safe no lock on the inside of the door or secondary lock or chain. Walls paper thin and noisy heating system all night. Also stairs v steep and covered in dog hair. Toilets smelled of blocked drains. It was ok as a person staying alone I didn’t feel secure with the door this could easily be fixed as could dog hair in hall. I think in general there are problems with blocked drains in Cambridge so I don’t blame property for this. It was adequate but could be better. Would need earplugs.

Too much mold smell
The location was brilliant,it should've been a good studio but there was mold smelling all through out,n my partner has asthma... It was clean but not spot clean to be honest,the floor was dusty our feet got dirty. Otherwise is a nice place,and the mattress was really dirty,had dirty marks on.

I booked 2 rooms here for my elderly parent and their friends - when they arrived only one key was available so they chased and was told that it would be there later so they dropped luggage off and went to explore Cambridge. They came back 5 hours later and still no key so they chased again - to be told it would be 10 minutes - 20 at the max - 2 hours later still no key. When chasing again they had the phone put down on them repeatedly. They ended up having to stop all in one room - 4 elderly adult and one is registered as disabled - no one got any sleep obviously and they ended up having to return home a day early and the key still hadn't turned up. I am still awaiting a response and an apology - the worst company I have ever dealt with - save your time and effort and don't bother!!

Terrible service from The Payman Club. Moved our location twice due to 'maintenance issues', the second of which we were not notified of. They also mixed up the date on the first change, so without chasing them we would have had nowhere to stay. Final property location (Arbury View) was dirty, smelly and no representation of the original booking.

Very shabby, would not recommend. The room we were allotted has revolting shower tray stains and had not been prepared for our check in. This is not a criticism of the staff, who came the next day to try and make amends for my complaints. The company that run the operation clearly do not allow a budget to clean to COVID standards.

checking in was a nightmare. unable to reply on their website with time of arrival so phoned to let them know and was told someone would be there to meet us at 4 pm. no-one was there so phoned and they told me that they do not meet people i had to do various things on phone to pay a deposit and full payment but it would not go through. they eventually gave me a code to access key and someone arrived later with a card reader. it was finally resolved after a very stressful time as i do not like using computers or mobile phones.

Not a good stay
No heating... bed slats where broken. Mould on the walls... Would never stay there again Check in told me I was in room 1 went into the main building and their is no room 1... Eventually got in contact with owners and they asked me to try outside the building. Lastly very bad smell of mould in the room...

Very small and untidy accomodation, bed collapsed in the first night, WIFI wasn't working. The personnel dealing with it was professional enought to put me in another accomodation though.

Despite being advertised as having free parking there is NO parking. There is no external sign that this property is a Hotel, nor is it in the description that this property is accessed by about a dozen steep steps. This is why after we had paid we didn’t even bother getting out of our car. After a very long drive we didn’t have the energy to find a parking spot then walk in the pouring rain with our cases . Glad we found a Travelodge with covered parking and a lift just along the road

Shocking! Dirty! Poor customer service!
Very poor customer service. Had an email asking what time I would be checking in. When I replied 21:00hrs had a reply saying there would be an additional £30 charge for a late check in. When I called the office to query this I was told “oh don’t worry it’s fine, we won’t charge you”. I was asked to call 30mins before I arrived, which I did, so that a member of their team could meet me at the property. On arrival there was nobody to be seen, so once again I called the office. I was asked “which apartment I was in” and “had I tried pressing the bell?” To which I replied that I was not told which apartment I was in and there were 10 bells!! Eventually 2 young men arrived carrying rucksacks looking like they had just left the student union! After several attempts they finally managed to open the key safe. Once inside they informed me “that’s your WiFi code”, pointing to a poster and “enjoy your stay. Now I just need to take £150 deposit off you”. I explained that this was not in my confirmation email and his reply was that’s the policy and I couldn’t stay without paying. He said it was on Hotel.com website but I couldn’t check because the “website was down” After much discussion and me saying several times that I wasn’t going to hand over £150 to two random strangers, I was told “it’s only £100”. After his initial denial that he’d said £150, I asked why it had now changed to £100, his reply was that they could charge between £100-150 depending on what the person was like!

Think twice!!
The check in process for this property is awful. It is not articulated before you arrive at the property, takes approximately 30 mins to check in, and all of this is done standing on the main road! The room was okay. The bathroom was so small I could take a shower, brush my teeth, and have a wee all at the same time. My room faced the street, and the only window was the French doors which meant it was incredibly noisy. The location is great for access to Cambridge centre.

Not a good stay!
Never again. I was there for a business trip and I was fooled by the photos. The place is small, its not very nice and its very loud. Unless you are on the top floor prepare for a rubbish nights sleep.

Ideal for just one on a one night stay
Nice apartment, albeit a little on the small side (i.e. bedsit) but ideal for just one on a one night stay. Showing some signs of wear and tear in places but a good standard otherwise. Don't expect to cook more than you can with a microwave combi oven and two hobs.

Good rooms with great location
Good place to stay if you like to make your own coffee or food. Clean room,bathroom on a small side but good and strong shower. Matress was to soft for our lining but good linen.Short walk to city centre and a local shoping centre also to coach st. Recommend!

Nice room, not too far from centre of Cambridge
I had a good size, quite comfortable deluxe studio on the top floor at the back of the building with good facilities. The experience for me was let down by the fact that there was a boiler in the room which just made noise all night (not good for a light sleeper). The two bedside lamps didn’t work either and the communal areas were in need of a bit of TLC. The toilet/shower was tiny and it was very difficult to adjust the temperature of the water in the shower. Please note that this is NOT a hotel and there is no one on site to discuss any problems you might be having with your room ( someone meets you initially to hand over keys and orientate you to the room). There is a contact number for an office somewhere in Cambridge.

Extremely disappointed
Stayed here for a long weekend in Cambridge and was very disappointed. Wifi didn't work the whole time we were there, we contacted to say it wasn't working straight away and they said it would be fixed within 24 hours and it wasn't fixed at all during our stay. Room is extremely basic and bedside lamp didn't even work. Also the room wasn't ready when we arrived which was inconvinient for us. Only good thing I can say is the location is good and it was easy to walk into town.

Close to the centre and ok room
The service was very informal and although staff were given plenty of time to meet me at the apartment they were still 10mins late. I raise this only because of how strict their own policy. Also I had to spent time fixing the bed as that the wooden planks holding the mattress kept slipping. I had to take photos in case I was excused of damage.

Comfortable, convenient
This white minimalist studio is ideal for a couple who would like to self-cater for a few days, who don't need full hotel facilities. It's a large room with dining table and kitchenette, windows front and rear. Reasonably quiet, given that it is on a busy road. There is minimal interaction with Peymans other than on arrival. We had no reason to speak to them. They take £100 pre-authorised on your card on arrival "against damages" - this is not abundantly clear form the listing, but hotels also swipe your card, so I guess it is a similar thing. A 10-15 minute stroll into town. Rubbish for parking, but that's Cambridge. Kitchenette was perfect for the job, and all necessary pans, crockery & implements provided.

Impossibly small ensuite bathroom
The room itself was very clean, modern and white! It's location is central and close to shops, eateries and expensive parking a 15 minute walk away. But I had three problems with it that will result in me not using it again: 1. The ensuite bathroom was extraordinary small, so small I wonder if it could pass health & safety legislation? Its small sink overlapped the toilet bowl and to use the shower, requires an S-shaped manoeuvre to exit the bathroom in order to get dry (an impossible task inside!). 2. No bed side light was available, so had to go to bed in the dark or get up to put the overhead light off at the switch by the door. 3. The free WiFi worked intermittently which was very frustrating if you require to work from the room. I reported the last two to the management to no avail. I also communicated with an American family with young children who arrived late at night (10:30pm) and waited outside for an hour for someone to come and deliver the key to their apartment.

There is no reception for check in and check out. So we do not know how to use the hot water for shower and heater, therefore the room is cold and we could not shower for one night and next morning still nobody come to check out so we leave the room key at the room. Very much need self serviced apartment.

Clean, convenient, good price
Very nice and comfortable studio apartment. Close to city centre (about 10-15 mins walk) and shopping (Grafton Centre). Room was very clean and modern. Having the kitchenette facilities is also useful - especially as this was very reasonably priced for Cambridge. A few things to take note of though: parking is effectively non-existent, and the public car parks in the area are not cheap for overnight parking and at least 5-10 mins walk. The shower is small, but we were only there for a night so it was fine. One thing that personally frustrates me (and I find this surprisingly often in hotels) is the shower head bracket/holder does not work, so you have to hold the shower head to have a shower... can I please suggest it is replaced, surely only costs a few pounds and is the difference between having a relaxing shower or an annoying one!! Overall though we had a pleasant stay and would stay there again!

The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the centre and seems to be recently renovated. The staff however was waiting ready with the card-machine in hand when we stepped in the door and didn't put it down until we payed the deposit. They also made remarks about us being 'just in time' to not pay the 'fine' of 30 pounds for arriving after 20.00 and made sure to tell us if we didn't leave in time this also would cost us 40 pounds. This whole focus on money when we had only one foot in the door made us quite uncomfortable and in some ways was plain rude as we did already pay for the room. One of the pillows on the bed had the dirty imprint of the bottom of a shoe which made us assume it wasn't a very clean bed. The room itself however was quite clean and had all the basic needs including a kitchen toaster and bathroom. Although I'd like to meet the person who could fit on that toilet with the door closed without having to rest your arms on the sink. If you compare the price we paid for this apartment to hotels in the neighbourhood I think you'd be better off spending your money on a hotel room as you'd get more worth your money there. If the price of this room was lower it be fine for any young couple/students wanting to visit Cambridge.

At first in the announcement there were two different photos of two bedrooms. It wasn't true, it is just one room with one bed. The price is too high for a small, dirty place like that, so it isn't appropriate for families. I found oily windows and soil in the bathtub. I will never go there again.

Os problemas comecaram apos a confirmacao da reserva. Depois da confirmacao do pagamento no cartao de credito deveria ter recebido todas as informacoes necessarias para a estadia. Recebi um email solicitando que fosse efetuado a reserva no cartao de credito de um valor para suprir eventuais danos, e ainda para confirmar com antecendencia de 72 horas. Chegando ao local nao existe recepcao, temos que ligar psra o numero informado e mais uma orientacao de como acessar a acomodacao, mas infeluzmente a chave nao estava no local e tivemos que espetar ate uma pessoa vir resolver. Esse processo e muito burocratico e confuso, se a pessoa nao tem telefone local, ou nao tem o dominio da lingua teria muita dificuldade ou ate mesmo desistiria.

Malheureusement à eviter...
Jour même de la remise des clés, il est demandé de faire un dépôt de garantie de 100 livres sur une plate-forme, le délai que celle-ci nous a demandé pour bénéficier du code pour récupérer les clés a été très long (2h) Nous avons donc dû attendre dans un café Ensuite un code est donné pour récupérer la clé dans un petit boîtier, qui nous a permis d'ouvrir la première porte mais pas la porte de notre chambre... Nous avons donc dû appeler le service client qui nous a envoyé quelqu'un au bout de 10 minutes (service rapide) Il s'agissait en fait d'une inversion de clés de chambres... Ensuite nous sommes entrés dans la chambre, qui est assez jolie. La literie n'est pas du tout confortable par contre, si vous avez des problèmes de dos on s'enfonce dedans. Nous avons donc finalement dormi dans le clic-clac qui n'était pas non plus confortable mais plus ferme La salle de bain est minuscule, dans moins de 1 mètres carrés une douche + toilettes + lavabo on étaient mis, du jamais vu, impossible de circuler dedans, nous laissions la porte ouverte... Le logement en lui-même à un taux d'humidité trop important, nous avons eu froid la nuit malgré la clim réversible que nous avons laissé à 30 degrés toute la nuit, cela n'était pas suffisant Pour toutes ces raisons je ne conseil pas ce logement... si ce n'est pour la localité, bien placé sur Cambridge

Ne pas louer, pas d'accueil, pas de clef en arrivant, pas d'eau dans la douche.
En arrivant, boîtier dans lequel se trouve les clefs difficile à ouvrir. 45 minutes après plusieurs appels téléphoniques, le boîtier est ouvert mais pas de clef dedans... Une fois les clefs récupérées, le ménage est mal fait et il n'y a pas d'eau dans la douche, impossible de se laver. Personne n'est venu pour trouver une solution à ce gros problème. Je suis très mécontent de ce séjour. A fuir.

市街地に近いのは良いですが…
ケンブリッジの市街地に近いので旅行で使用する際の立地としては良いと思います。 ただ、部屋の清潔さはあまり良くなく、チェックインした段階で髪の毛等が目立ちました。食器類もありますが、ゴミが付いていたりしてらあまり使う気になりませんでした。 また、ケンブリッジは安全な街ではありますが、夜に玄関が施錠されていなかったり、裏口が全開になっていることも多く、少し不安を感じました。
