Some areas of the room need a bit of cleaning and maintenance. Bathroom door, patio door and a few of the walls could use a good wash down and maybe a coat of paint. But they look like they have been painted many times over. Night stand was water stained and buckling everywhere. The patio was grimy but I take it in stride because it was an outside area and probably not much attention given to sweeping, mopping and wiping down the table and chairs. The big issue which isn’t the hotels fault was location. It was very noisy Saturday night…chalk that up to hockey playoffs but Sunday night it was screaming and sounding like someone was being harmed. The homeless community has taken over the downtown core and the streets during the day on Sunday showed that very clearly. Such a harsh reality within a few blocks. We thought we needed a downtown location to be close to an event so we wouldn’t have to find parking and drive in from outlying hotels. Lesson learned as parking as per agreed was $20/day but near the venue was more reasonable. The cost of the hotels would have been more inexpensive further out from the inner city as well. Staff were excellent and very friendly but hotel is in need of some deep cleaning and maintenance, IMHO.

Full of sports teams - no control over the children or parents. Excessive fee for 'security' deposit. Not for loss prevention, just mainly for irritation of the customer. Food service closes at 20:00h (for a downtown hotel!? $190/night for a room with no small fridge or microwave? Just a rip off from beginning to end.
