"I had stayed earlier at Riu Las America in Cancun and I feel this time Riu didn’t really live up to the experience as much as last time. I won’t say it was terrible but it was just a bit off. The restaurants were located very dar away from our room and we had booked the Riu Party room so.. it was a lot of walk back and forth. There were no elevators.. The rooms were very dusty.. to my surprise, they don’t offer shower caps or even body lotions.. Overall the staff was really pretty nice and they also had quiet a few vegetarian options at their buffet restaurants which was great. I would recommend going there with the mindset that you would really have to walk a lot and carry everything you might need as I felt I wasn’t prepared well"
Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos - Adults Only - All-Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"A friend asked me if I would recommend the hotel and I was torn, Yes or No
Pros:
Beautiful hotel, food amazing, and good service.
Cons:
Booked the Jr. King suite for an average night rate of $1,300+ per night, and all we could hear was the highway. The hotel is behind a busy highway, and room 1223 is not worth paying so much for if you want peace and quiet and want to hear the ocean. We asked to be moved to another room a few times and were told that all the junior suites were on the sides of the building and that we would hear the highway, so we were not moved or accommodated. We felt like they basically said, " Deal with it." We were there for 7 days, so that's all we heard, highway noise the whole time. We even asked other people staying on different floors, and they said they could hear the highway.
Hydro sessions do not require appointments. That's not a good idea. There are so many people going to the spa for hydro, and the attendants are handling so many people at a time; they do not explain each step, or the reasons why, or each stage of the process. It is easy to get lost in the shuffle of following people around and not knowing why you are in different areas and rooms during the session. I have been at other hotels that offer this experience, and I would rather pay for the Hydro session.
Unfortunately, I will never return to the hotel. They need to make it known that they are behind a highway!
Maybe their other hotels are not behind highways."
Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"The amenities would have gotten higher marks except that our favorite pool (Pool 40 next to Tazuna) was closed, along with pool 26, both closed for the entire month of May. The Fun Lab was also closed but we didn't have any teens with us so that didn't bother us, but I would have been disappointed had I planned on using that.
On the plus side, we learned that we like Pool 17 and despite 2 of the pools being closed, Pool 17, the Main Pool and the SKy Pool were not overly crowded.
The staff were very attentive and wonderful. Shout out to the amazing server extraordinaire: Roberto! He was fantastic.
In general, staff would also have gotten higher marks if they had been trained on how to handle an extremely inebriated guest poolside. Instead, we watched a passed out guest on a lounge chair and on the ground wollow for hours as he dry heaved semi-consciously while staff figured out what to do. It was sad to watch his 3 children cry, his wife kick him trying to wake him up, and the general confusion about how to deal with it all by the staff. The wife refused medical help. It was a "buzz Kill" for us watching and I wish the staff could have removed him from the area much earlier. They did finally wheel him out. There should be staff proticol to deal with this sort of thing. We have been to this resort many times and never witnessed such an event.
Overall, the food was excellent and the drinks were cold.
Plus, the view can't be beat and rooms were quiet."
"This stay did not reflect the experience advertised at the time of booking.
Major issues included:
* No hot water in the room, requiring a room change
* Other guests experiencing the same hot water issue
* Ongoing construction and noise disruptions not disclosed in advance
* Strong varnish/paint fumes from nearby maintenance work
* Management promised to pause the work due to a pregnancy but did not follow through
* Requested room arrangements (connecting rooms and ocean view) not provided
* Main breakfast restaurant closed without prior notice
We raised these concerns multiple times during the stay, but no meaningful resolution or compensation was offered.
Overall, the services provided were materially different from what was represented at booking, especially considering the premium price point."
