"The location was ideal. We stayed in three places in Madeira and this was our favourite. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are quite small. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning worked well. We had a deluxe room with balcony overlooking the bay which was nice. Breakfast was good and is served on the roof so you can enjoy the view. Parking is nearby at a busy public lot. Guys hang out there to assist you in finding a spot. Just have to be patient and give them a tip! "

"Lovely atmosphere without any kids. The hotel was fully booked but didn't feel crowded. The deluxe room was worth it - lovely coffee from the coffee machine and a little bar/fridge & robes. The location was a short way uphill out of the town but in a nice area and not a long walk for anyone with reasonable fitness, There were plenty of buses. You could walk downhill to a bus stop and get off further uphill on the way back. There was also a hotel minibus into the town. We had a great stay! "

"Location: Well situated for an easy 2km walk to old town. Great views from water facing rooms. Hotel: Large resort with great amenities and restaurants. Very quiet for a large property. "The Perestrello has recently been refurbished and our room on the 2nd floor of the annex was lovely. The bed was comfy, the room had plenty of storage/hanging space, a good size safe, small refrigerator and quiet air conditioning. The bathroom was spotless with a walk in rain fall shower.
