I stayed three nights in a 5-bunk dorm. The hostel is a good base to explore the surrounding area. Don't miss Wategos beach, Cape Byron lighthouse, Nimbin and Mullumbimby. All great destinations.

Unlike other YHA hostels , this one is twice as expensive and is full of loud and arrogant people who show no accountability to their drunk behaviour and do not respect others who are staying there. Very hard to get some sleep. Better off sleeping in a car.

The staff was amazing, the floor and the shared bathroom was clean. But they said no noise is permitted with the notes on the wall, but unfortunately the people around my room were so loud, talked outside of my front door. Even I closed all the windows I could hear. But the other than that it was nice accommodation.
