From our records, your unit was a brand new custom-built duplex in the village with a view of the partial Pamlico Sound. Your stay there was at the height of our tourist season. We often have a wait-list for any available rooms. The 'roaches' to which you referred to are indigenous 'water bugs'. When it rains during the warmer months, they tend to seek drier areas. We're very sorry that some made it into your unit. Each unit is thoroughly cleaned and inspected prior to each guest's check in. Routine and 'as needed' professional pest control services are implemented. Refund requests after checking out from rooms, via phone, from home are not granted except under extraordinary circumstances.
