Hotels near Butter Bean Beach

"The room was mostly very clean, had some trouble understanding the settings on the fridge and so we had our food ruined (simple instructions would have been appreciated). What impressed me most was that it seemed like everyone was always cleaning, blowing leaves, emptying trash, etc. the staff was always friendly too. Breakfast had many options too. But! Unless you are a fan of military aircraft flying overhead, be aware that there is an army airstrip behind the hotel. Now, for me, that was a huge bonus to see and hear the rumble of cargo planes and chinook helicopters and to see them flying so close to the building (like I was worried a few times that they might hit the building). I did fear that I was disturbing the people underneath me because I would up and run every time I heard them coming. This might not be an experience that everyone wants, especially when five of them flew over around 2:30-3:00 am. So if you are a heavy sleeper, have kids who would find it exciting or would find it exciting yourself, this is a great bonus. If you can’t get back to sleep after being woken up…this is not the place for you! "

"Looks they are upgrading, exterior painting in progress, our room was huge and clean excellent job by house keepers and team. No complaints at all was just missing pool, which was closed for some reason, but that’s not a big deal in cold weather. Front desk agent was friendly and yes breakfast is too good."

"Large areas, plenty of beds. We had a problem with one bathroom that didn't have hot water. Otherwise very nice for our stay.."

"Quiet property off the beaten path. Beds were comfortable. Loved the 1st and 2nd floor porches with ample, comfortable seating. The upstairs shower didn’t work so we all had to use one bathroom for showers. The ping pong area could use some sprucing up."
