Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. "Stephen was a wonderful host showing us our room on arrival and explaining arrangements there. Room 3 was extremely well appointed with our own entrance and outdoor space. The small kitchen area included a microwave great for a cosy meal in. The continental breakfast was amazing and really set you up for the day. Set in quiet countryside outside Bideford with easy access to local attractions and exploring the countryside. A really relaxing break for us and would definitely recommend staying...

"Wonderful hotel, cant recommend highly enough. Great location on the south west coast path. They offer a packed lunch for the next day which is definitely needed for the walk from Hartland way to Bude! "
