"I stayed at the Renaissance in Mobile for a girls’ trip and really enjoyed my stay. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. We had a river view room where we could see the Amtrak train and the cruise ship, which made the view even better. I also liked the added security of needing a key card to access the floors. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout the stay. They do offer breakfast, although I didn’t get a chance to try it. My only downside was the parking...

"Staff were excellent. The AC was broken in the lobby area for 2 days making the bar/ food experience horrible. The lobby area and outside are beautiful. When you get to the rooms, not so much. Old rooms, need updating, air doesn’t cool in the rooms that great. Rust on most of the appliances/fixtures/faucets. Room service came as they should. Not a bad place to stay but don’t be fooled by the pictures online."

"The property itself seems to be in a decent area on a service road and near other properties. There were several transients hanging around the property, however, and they were accosting guests (including myself) for money, cigarettes, etc. One even saw me unloading something from my vehicle, and upon seeing me walking back to the building, started casing my vehicle. I initiated my panic button on my key fob to scare them away. That's definitely something management needs to address. The...

However, 1) the carpet in our room (220?) felt so nasty that we walked around with our shoes on, 2) the water took a very long time to drain from tub - constantly turning shower on/off for water to drain; 3) we were exhausted by our trip and was very disappointed that there were no vending machines on each floor as advertised."
