The place was a bit dated and had maybe previously seen some hard times, but the room was spotless clean and effort had been taken to make it nice. Great value for the price."

"On the first night late checking in there was big clumps of hair on the carpet in the bedroom. We also found 2 hair clips as well. I told the front staff member and he just wanted the room number. On the third day I had got 4 extra coffee pods from the front desk. The cleaning staff took them and also left us no t towel to dry the dishes. I told the front desk of these issues but she was not concerned at all. Very unfriendly."

"Positive surprise of my trip. I expected the worst as this motel is located right by a busy road, but turns out the road is rather quiet at night and I could sleep quite well. Rooms are spacious, clean and functional. They must have renovated recently as the bathroom was modern and new with no sign or wear and tear. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The guest laundry is free, but only available in the afternoon. Will book again if I stay at golden."
