Great value hotel in Clifton area, walkable to everything and has available parking. Rooms small but comfortable, no AC but even though hot weather when we stayed a fan provided adequate cooling. Very friendly staff and great breakfast.

The total experience was truly positive, very friendly staff for which nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable room with good facilities. Excellent quality breakfast with a good choice. I will be returning in the future.

The hotel was in a good location and the reception staff were friendly. It felt very safe as a solo, female traveller. For the price, the bedroom and en-suite were well designed and very comfortable. However, there was a bit of a damp smell in my basement room, there were several patches of peeled paint, neither bedside lamp worked and the sash window rattled considerably. Unfortunately, they were unable to move me without me checking out at 11 and checking in again at 3, which wasn’t possible due to a wedding. With a bit of maintenance, the room would be excellent for the price.

Great staycst the Washington. I loved the older feel of this hotel and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I think the place is just needing some redecoration where paint is ageing and chipping. Loved the fresh ground coffee option in the room, just maybe needed a little more of that in the jar. I would stay here again.

The Washington is great value. Katia on check in was lovely. Shared bathroom was clean with a good shower. Street parking just outside for free but it was a Sunday. A good breakfast. Will definitely stay there again

Solo concert trip

Stayed her many times now on trips to Bristol and reason why was highlighted again ,friendly staff ,clean warm room, safe area, good bathroom, nice towels ,very good breakfast, everything you want in a hotel stay at a reasonable price..highly satisfied and would happily recommend.

Welcomed with worm welcome by receptionist, room was great for what i wanted it for. The evening receptionist was so lovely, she was so helpful with knowledge of the area and help with extra bedding

Fantastic breakfast

The location was great for exploring Bristol. We were very lucky to be able to park at the hotel. The breakfast and service was excellent. However the hotel was very tired and not as clean as it should have been. When we went to our room the dirty towels and bedding were outside our door so we had to step over them. They were eventually removed once we contacted reception. It was good value but could have been cleaner.
