The location was so beautiful - we saw so much wildlife and loved falling asleep to the sound of rain on the roof and waking up with the birds and monkeys. I love that it was removed from the fast pace of the road and beaches, but close enough to spend the day out and about. "

"Nice hotel with good breakfast. The staff was friendly. Good parking possibilities. The only negative was that they did not serve any food (except breakfast) and that the roof made a lot of noise when it was raining (there are some kind of plastic protection on the roof of the room which make the rain sound a lot, hard to sleep without earplugs). "

"this is such a beautiful space with kind and courteous staff. The resort is so serene and beautiful, and rich with wild costa rican nature. Just the occasional inconsistencies with the cleanliness of the floors, and odors in the room, that could be resolved with more attention to cleaning and by providing air fresheners - that was my only critique. As the resort is often fully booked because it's truly a gem."

"We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. "I truly enjoyed my stay at La Tribu. I would recommend it to any woman looking to have an enriching experience. I met so many girls from all around the world and the activities were so fun. I loved the girly aesthetic and it was very clean. I was a bit taken aback from the surrounding area, but apart from that I felt really safe. 10/10 I’m considering to come back again."

"It’s a family run business and the owner was super nice and helpful , the property was peaceful , the only noise was the wild animals on the property like howler monkeys and lots of exotic bird species , the owner prepared a papaya from the tree right in front of our room , it was delicious.
