"Enjoyed our stay, food was decent pub grub nothing spectacular but decent enough. Was told by bar girl I couldnโt start a tab (even though I showed my room key) but our friends did? Had to ask to be served at the bar as was not acknowledged by 3 staff behind the bar. Customer service definitely needs improvement."

"Wonderful hotel, needs to be seen to be believed. Absolutely full of lovely items you just would not think would work but they do. Very grand building and makes you smile. Four poster bed in a very large room with breath taking sea views. Only thing that let it down was the bathroom pod in room that just did not match decor or the extravagant surroundings. The staff, especially a older lady in the restaurant at breakfast who we also saw with a hoover the day before we're lovely and helpful. A young man in the bar early evening was also a credit to the hotel. We came down one morning to a young girl playing the piano whilst her parents ate breakfast which was so pleasant. You could not find a more impressive building on the cliff edge in Cornwall with a quaint little village with shops and restruants within walking distance. We, along with our spaniel cannot wait to stay again."

"Very nice hotel but more suited to connoisseurs of food ,which was exceptional with prices to match. With only the al a carte menu Iโm not sure it suit the average holiday maker unless eating out elsewhere most days. I spent over ยฃ350 for six evening dinners excluding wine. Sometimes after a days walking you just want steak and chips not a very prettily decorated plate as tasty as it maybe itโs not going to satisfy your hunger. Iโm not knocking the food it was absolutely delicious but every night with no wholesome alternatives? Not for everyone. Save it for your 50th anniversary not a base camp for exploring Devon."
