It was a convenient location with a decent room, however there should be a more detailed description for the overall building since it is more of a hostel environment than apartments. Also I think I should be able to have the tv and the fan on without the entire electrical circuit blowing, that’s all.

I would rate my stay at this hotel excellent, and I am not just saying that. The check in / check out process is done remotely. When I first arrived to the location and no one was there I was worried. I received a text on how to check in and got along fine. The area is within a mile of all the main attractions of Boston but far enough away. The room was simple. The main shopping area of Boston was less than a mile away. This was likely the most affordable place to stay. If nothing were to change about this hotel, I would recommend staying here. Just be prepared for a remote communication delay, if you understand this you will be fine. No pool or gym included in the hotel, but nearby those things are available to the area.

The stairs were crooked, and there were a lot of them. I think the bed was memory foam, but it was soft memory foam, so if you sat on the bed before going to sleep you spent the rest of the night tilting toward the dip. I couldn't figure out the heater/air conditioner really, so this might've been user error, but when I ran the A/C it cooled whatever it was directly hitting but heated up the rest of the room. The area you're supposed to put the trash was too difficult to open, I'm not sure if there was some trick to it, but I couldn't manage it so I just held onto trash until I passed a public trash can. The staff was very good at responding to texts. Location-wise, it's in a pretty good area- it's a short walk to multiple train stations, a small playground, good food & the post office.

Enjoyed the Bay Suites!

Bed was clean and comfortable with good lighting. There was a fridge, microwave, and air conditioning in the room. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner was also provided in the bathroom. Managers were responsive via e-mail and text whenever you had questions during the stay.

So, the place fitted my needs, I booked a single room and got a 12x6 room with a shared bathroom. The bed was comfortable and I got a good sleep, yes it's inconvenient to leave the room to use the bathroom but the cost of hotels in Boston at the time of my trip resulted in me taking the room. The area is great, walking distance to downtown and everything that goes with it. Just don't book a room with high expectations of grandeur. It's a place to sleep. There are no staff on site but the check in/out was flawless and the codes provided worked without fault. I would recommend booking here but just be aware that you get what you pay for relative to other more expensive hotels in town.

Decent accommodation for a good price

Economic accommodation, good location, proximity to great restaurants and cafes. Shared washroom between residents can be hard, depending on the other residents' cleanliness. The management has a daily cleaning scheduled. Kitchen is very low on supplies, no spoons or forks could be found. Only bowls and some pans. Good place to stay if you plan to stay out most of the day and only need a place to crash at night and to keep your luggage at during the day.

My stay at the Bay Village Hotel in Boston was amazing. To be honest, it was my first experience staying in a self-serving hotel like this. However, everything was good. No one disturbed me, and every time, the hotel was quiet like I was alone in the entire building, and it was convenient.

The condition of the place was sub standard - worse than any youth hostel. Bathroom with huge hole in the ceiling and dirty old air filter left on the hand basin. Advertised as a suite! No plug for sink, no cutlery, very little crockery, good fridge and paper towels. Not serviced in 3 days. Rubbish left for 3 days. No replacement towels. Not 2 rooms sharing bathroom as told. One night at least 3 rooms sharing. Good location but not value for money. It was a noisy area at night.
