Iconic historic inn. Small room but cosy and comfortable. Well maintained and clean. No elevator for some might be tricky with stairs but staff were very friendly and helpful. In room fridge was $45/night extra…restaurant under renovation so limited…A beautiful location.

Because of snow storm, they let us check in early. We had dinner in hotel which was delicious and convenient. The most outstanding thing was all cars in the parking lot were cleared around and each car, besides snow plowing the lot completely. Very impressive considering the 20 inches of snow.

A fantastic historical inn. Right in the center of town within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The rooms are smallish but completely comfortable and very clean. The restaurant and tavern is excellent. Parking is ample and very convenient.

Quaint, historic inn that has a good location and serves a good lunch. Given the design goes back to 1716 it is fairly small but a very nice place nevertheless.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Easy transition to the restaurant on premises for dinner. Nice after a long drive. Only draw back is the heater in the room was quite loud, as it kicked in to maintain heat throughout night. If you are a light sleeper, it can be hard to sleep through.

This hotel is amazing! While a historic hotel the rooms are clean with updates to the bathrooms. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The 2 restaurants and tavern serve the same exact menu but the food was great. We have no complaints!

I love historic properties so this one was especially delightful close to so many sites of interest. Love the decor and all the Americana, with the history comes older facilities but if you can get past that it’s wonderful to stay in a charming original place. I especially enjoyed the dining options and decor- completed visit with a “shot heard round the world” shot glass for sale at the front desk! Great friendly staff as well.
