"Photos can not capture the beautiful scenery at the villa. You are surrounded by nature and the view of the Northern Lights surrounds the area when they are dancing. Our teens, young adults, middle-aged, and senior family members were all able to enjoy the spacious layout. Travel to local sights is easy and worth it in order to be in the tranquil quiet by the lake. I highly recommend staying here. The owners are wonderful hosts."

"Lovely room, with large bathroom with robes and slippers provided. Continental breakfast provided with some hot food ie scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. Staff were very helpful, allowed to check in slightly earlier out out slightly later. We were disappointed with the hot pools not quite what we had expected. Saying that the sauna by them was excellent. Bring a towel to sit on a seating gets hot."

Looking at prices for other hotels in Reykjavik, which is generally very expensive, I think the rates at the Hotel Von were an absolute steal for what they offer."

Rooms were cleaned daily upon request and it was quiet on the 5th floor. Bar staff were also helpful and offered great service. Overall highly recommend if you want to stay in that area of Reykjavik."

The breakfast was decent, although crowded since most of the hotel guests were leaving about the same time. The best thing about this hotel is its location.
