We booked a room specifically advertised as having a private bathroom and a bathtub. Upon arrival, we were informed that the photos on Expedia were “incorrect” and that only one room in the entire property actually had a tub — and it was already occupied.
This was not a minor detail. The bathtub was the reason we selected and paid for this room type.
We were offered “free breakfast” as compensation, which was confusing since breakfast is already advertised as complimentary in the lobby. Because the room we contracted for was not available, we declined the stay and were clearly told we would be refunded.
The entire check-in interaction was recorded.
As of this review, no refund has been issued.
Travelers should be aware that the room type advertised may not match what is actually available upon arrival. We are now disputing the charge through our credit card company due to services not rendered.
We would have preferred a straightforward resolution, but unfortunately that has not happened.
