Hotels in Blackrock, Cork

"We used this as a stopping point between Kilkenny and Killarney. The hotel was great with nice spacious rooms. Beds were very comfortable and there were nice showers. Breakfast was not included but was available at the property, along with dinner. We ended up not eating at the hotel but only because we had other plans. The woolen mill shop is also located on site. At check in they gave us each a 10% discount which we happily used. Blarney itself did not have much going on but the castle is walking distance. The proximity allows you to get in to the castle as they open to avoid the crowds. It’s also very close to Cork if you’re looking for more to do. "

"Great location. Lovely exterior with the waterfall. Rooms were a little dated but clean! Double glazed windows blocked all street noise! Do not try to get anywhere near the hotel during rush hour. Call them ahead to figure out the parking!"

"This hotel is very well located for travelling around the Cork City, Cobh, Kinsale areas. The pool was nice and big and even though there were a good few people there, it did not feel crowded. We had a family room with a double bed and two single beds, which was perfect for us. The shower (which was separate from the bathtub) was fantastic. 5 stars for the shower alone!! And we liked the shampoo/shower gel so much, that I have purchased a bottle to use at home. Breakfast was good as well. Would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel to others. "

"We had to wait about 15 minutes at check in for our room but the staff was very friendly and kept us informed!!"

"The location was good. It was hard to drop bags off due to the construction and location of the hotel. We tried to check in 20 min early but were told we could at an additional cost. I understand they gave a check in time but this was the only location that tried to get money off of it. I also had to stand and wait 5 minutes for a staff member to come up and assist me. The rooms were plain no decor just a bed and one table."
