The main part of the hotel looks wonderful but the rooms are old, the carpet was dirty, floors creaky, cracks in walls and peeling. The soap was put way too high. It was also dirty, we found someone else fake eyelash in the bathroom. Great location though. Car park is a 5-8 min walk.

I’ve been staying at The Imperial for years and it only gets better. The new (it was new to me at least) Fitzgerald’s Bar is a thing of beauty AND with excellent craic. The staff is lovely, Lafayette’s is a cafe you never want to leave, and the hotel overall continues to age in the very best way. And yes, I’ve stayed in other Cork hotels, and I’ve found no comparison. Thank you once again Imperial for a lovely holiday!

The hotel’s decor was lovely and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and fruit, yogurts (yummy)cereals,pastries etc. However we would like to have had dinner in the restaurant but the menu was very limited and nothing on offer for gluten free, so we did not eat there. The room was spacious and very nice, couple of minor issues in that no hooks on doors to hang coats and also in the bathroom no towel rail or hooks to hang towels to dry and the shower cubicle was a bit stained at the base. So although there was a note to save the environment by not changing towels every day, they were changed fortunately as were unable to dry them.
