We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights 23rd-25th of may 2026 the reception staff are lovely. An issue with one of the nighttime staff but the daytime staff were straight on it and are working to get it solved but the hotel I can’t fault at all got everything we needed. Breakfast every morning and barebones it was for £2 for both nights so at £1 for breakfast I think is a massive bargain. Lorraine, Nathan, Louise are absolutely lovely staff. Very friendly and very helpful. The location is spot on close to everything. We will be returning at some point hopefully again this year.

Winter gardens location

We picked for location as were attending the winter gardens it was perfect round the corner location , also has a lift so was good for my mam , we were on first floor although the room did not look like the picture online which was a triple it was clean but needs some tlc , staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious with fast serving and hot tea which is rare , would book again .

Definitely recommend this Melville hotel, staff friendly, polite & very helpful in information on getting about, specifically areas. Central to all shops, restaurants etc & staff excellent Good banter, that also can make the holiday break Maggie was very helpful polite, had us laughing & just so friendly like one of the family. Thank you all for helping to make our weekend stay a very pleasant one We will definitely be back.

Very noisy, great location

Room tidy and clean, location was perfect, breakfast was alright, there was a dance competition on and the hotel was full of them. You would think the kids would be having an early night if dancing the next morning but that wasnt the case the parents where steaming in the bar until it closed at half 1 kids running riot and the noise was mental. Might be ok if your room is on a higher level but ours was right next it.
