Perfect for Airport

Overnight stay as we had an early flight from Stansted, very quick and easy to get to Jet Parks car park, room clean and adequate, staff welcoming, food in bar was ok, would defo use again.

Friendly staff, Diabolical food service.

Friendly staff. Adequate, clean room. Diabolical food service. We only ordered a baked camembert and a pizza to share, we waited and waited and waited! I had just gone to the bar to cancel the pizza order when it arrived. Would understand if it was really busy but it wasn't, only a few tables eating.

Lovely (but short) stay! We were accommodated from check in after 10pm and the room was lovely and updated and very comfortable! We stayed to be close to Stansted, would stay again.

Outstanding little local pub bed and breakfast

Outstanding little local pub bed and breakfast. Didn't stay for breakfast but the room was really nice. Cleanliness was outstanding. Staff were really helpful and pleasant. Made the mistake of booking a twin room and the manager changed it to a double without me even needing to ask. Lovely place. Will definitely use again

Beautiful quiet place

Excellent check in, just help yourself to the key, very well set up. Lovely compact room and very clean, extremely pleased with that. There are a few little things I would change. I really needed somewhere to sit ie a small desk/dressing table, to work at and also to dry my hair etc. The TV was very small I couldnt even see the screen, I had no milk at all with the tea and coffee offerings. But I have to say the room was really lovely, cosy and very quiet, I had an excellent nights sleep, which is the most important thing. I was well heated and great ventilation. I parked my car right outside the room, it was so easily accessible. The bathroom was huge and had a lovely big bath in there. Plenty of towels and accessories. So only some minor things that I would have preferred but overall I would definitely stay again and the place was a little gem well worth visiting

Do not book on Monday or Tuesday.

On opening the front door i was greeted by a mouse, i immediately returned the key to the lock safe, the pub was closed and the was no where in the village to get an evening meal, I had to drive 20 miles to find alternative accommodation for the night, after a hard day's work this was totally unacceptable.

even though it booked as bed and breakfast no option for early mornings breakfast, have to leave at 6:30 but can’t see any staffs to offer breakfast. I won’t advise to book for breakfast if you leaving early morning. Other wise a nice clean place.

Great stay with dogs

A fabulous weekend. We were looked after very well. We had two well behaved digs with us and they were welcomed by the hotel. Although we didn’t try breakfast because we were out too early but both meals in the evening were very tasty and good amount of choice. Would recommend this place.

Great pub and staff. Disappointing accommodation

Pub food staff and atmosphere was excellent. We booked a super king bed but was given a small double. The mattress was so uncomfortable you can actually feel the springs. Also when u sat on the bed it moved across the wooden floor. Not enough milk in room. Only 2 little pots. Room was very cold and radiators didn’t not come on when adjusted. We hardly slept which wasn’t good as we needed to as had a very early flight. Such a shame really as we would of stayed again when flying from Stansted.

Great location

Lovely place to stay and ideal location for Stanstead airport. Late arrival didn’t give us the chance to try the food but pub was very appealing. The only improvement would be a refresh of the mattresses as the one in our room was certainly of age and in need of replacement. Will happily return next time I fly from STN.

Disorganised chaos!!

This was booked for my father for my daughters wedding. We had issues with the fact that the room was booked-when we got that organised they then said the room was in the pub, however no one explained that they had a live band on in the room Below the bedroom, which did not stop until 12! Overall this was not the best stay!

Ok room but smell of damp and uncomfortable beds

The hotel is in a good location close to Stansted airport. The condition and size of the room was fine, but the beds were old and uncomfortable and the room smelt of damp. The pub looked like it would be ok but we arrived too late to try it.
