"A lovely old Inn in a beautiful little village. Our room in the main Inn was lovely - very quaint but tastefully decorated. Although the wooden floor looked very nice a carpet would have been more comfortable and less noisy! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breaskfst was very good and we ate in the restuarant in the evenings which was also very good. The staff were very good, even though they seemed to be juggling serving at the reception as well as waiting tables. Overall a wonderful stay."

"My first impressions were very positive as the hotel is in a great location in Maidenhead and only a short walk to a variety of restaurants and eateries both chain and independent. The parking area is quite extensive allowing more than enough room for hotel and restaurant guests. There is a stylish reception area with friendly staff who checked me in early after confirming my room was ready. The room was artisticly decorated especially with the bathroom area. There is a well functioning air con unit as well as a nice fan. My main disappointment was that one of my main reasons in booking my accommodation was to use gym facilities. In enquiring about this, I was informed that the spa area was being renovated and not able to be used by guests until April. The lady on reception said that I should have been informed but the only message I received from the hotel did not allude to this. This was the only let down on a stay which would have been give 5 stars otherwise. My 3 main scoring criteria for an overnight stay is the shower, the sleep and the next morning's breakfast. All 3 were very good and combined for a stay at a place I would love to stay at again given the chance."

"We stayed in room 7, and went to bed at around 11.30pm. The room was so noisy from the bar area until around 1am. The room facilities were poor, lots of maintenance issues like no toilet roll holder, loose shelf, loose hook on back of door. The shower was luke warm and felt like needles. The window didn’t shut properly and the pillows were wafer thin. The bin hadn’t been emptied properly from previous guest there was a tooth pick in there!! For £180 per night there was a lot wrong with this room."
