This is my second or third stay at this hotel, and unfortunately I’ve experienced repeated issues with the rooms, particularly the showers. On previous stays, I had to change rooms multiple times due to either no hot water or electricity outages.
On this visit, the shower handle and overhead shower had very little water pressure, making them unusable. I ended up having to shower using the tap. By that point, I didn’t have the energy to go back to reception to request another room change.
I was also disappointed with the customer service on this occasion, which was noticeably below the standard I’ve experienced here before. When I approached the reception desk for assistance, two staff members were focused on discussing a non-urgent handover task (tea & coffee should be set at front next time for breakfast) while I was left waiting. Later, when I asked if there was an umbrella I could borrow, the response was dismissive and impolite. I was told I could either take a broken one or not use one at all.
This experience was quite shocking, as the staff have usually been great during my previous stays. I hope the hotel can address both the maintenance issues and customer service standards going forward.
