"Beautiful historic hotel sensibly and chicly updated. Staff very attentive. Our suite was quite comfortable..terrific bed and lovely bath including charming decor and sitting area. The gardens are amazing and you can walk down to the river Tamar from the hotel. Breakfasts amazing, dinner good. Small niggle; pillows are all the same. I like a softer version fwiw. "Lovely small hotel in a great location. Receptionist was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable and the shower was brilliant. Breakfast was a little chaotic which is the only thing that let it down. Selection for continental was limited, no pastries, cheese, cold meat etc, just toast, cereal and canned fruit. You have to decide what you want the night before, yet the waitresses come to your table to take your order in the morning still. "
