"Good experience overall. The staff were attentive and polite. The hotel itself is highly recommended in the area. A few points to mention - the swimming pool was a bit chilly - the men's toilets at reception, the doors couldn't close properly"

"Room 103/104 The courtyard rooms are right opposite or next to a very large fan/generator I think. And that kicks in periodically and loudly throughout the night. The breakfast was a bit of a let down to be fair. Seemed to be only one chap running around serving the drinks. The room itself is fab, and spacious, but the bed creaks, a lot, so you wake each other up turning in your sleep. Amersham itself is a lovely place and the hotel is really nice. I would still recommend, but just avoid the courtyard rooms and skip the hotel breakfast and maybe opt one of the lovely nearby cafes."

"Stayed 2 nights. Double bed was comfortable. Useful having fridge. Shower could do with a bit more pressure, but was okay. Room was clean. Could hear people in other room talking, so expect some noise from other guests. No breakfast option. Only one host, who isn't always there so checkout process wasn't obvious. I'd stay again and recommend to others."

"What a friendly bunch they are at The Old Bell. Clear the new owners and motivated to make this a great spot for all. A truly warm welcome and great chat with the staff; all keen to learn and do things the right way. They really are a credit to the management. Rooms still need a little work, mattress on the bed was not great at all, but everywhere clean and tidy. Would happily stay again when in the area for work."
