It was close to everything including the port that we would catch our cruise. This is the first time I stayed in a Hostel. Very small (think 8x10ft with sink) room and shared bathrooms but both especially the bathrooms and common areas, were very clean. Hard to find as I had to ask directions many times from various people and therefore we passed it a few times. The 1st floor was worn down (front door sounds like you break it) but the actual Hostel (3rd floor) was nice. Very close to the harbor, Gothic area, St. Joseph La Boqueri (we ate there often), and Beaches. Metro is about 5 minutes away and close. Now that we got use to a Hostel experience, I would stay again because of the location and cleanliness. AC worked well. They have rooms that can handle families.
Travel Tip: (1) Take the Airport bus to the very last stop which is Placa De Catalunya. Go across the plaza to Las Ramblas street. Go about 15 minutes towards the water (south). You will pass the police station and it should be the next block on your right, about three addresses from the corner (on the left of the street). If you take the train, you need to take the Orange line from the Airport, transfer to the Blue line at (Europa Fira), and then Transfer to the Green line at (Espanya). Then get off at Liceu. Go up the stairs and head left about a block. If you pass the police station, you went too far.
(2) The Metro can take you anywhere you want to go. Purchase the passes for the time you will be there.
